The Kennedy Center’s Community Resource Center (CRC)
was created to provide opportunities for Charlestown’s
low-income residents, especially focusing on immigrant groups,
to strengthen their self-sufficiency through information about
and referrals to resources, as well as specific skills and language
learning.  In addition to strengthening individuals, the CRC
exists to promote neighborliness, reduce social isolation, and
bring people together to address issues of common concern.

The Community Resource Center is located at:
55 Bunker Hill Street.

The center is equipped with: 5 community computers, internet access,
printers, a full kitchen, 60 chairs, 10 tables, lounge area and a 42 inch LCD tv.

On-going activities

FREE CLASSES
Our center frequently offers free classes for the community. Participants can choose between
Basic Computers (English), Basic Computers in Spanish, ESOL (2 classes) and Spanish classes.

PARENTING SERVICES:
Erica Schwartz, Parent Coordinator, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is available for
free private consultations and offers periodic topical workshops and support groups for parents.

WE ARE OPEN FOR COMMUNITY EVENTS AND RESERVATIONS!
We encourage our community to take advantage of our center and reserve the
community room for classes, meetings, seminars and community activities.
For reservations and details please contact our staff and ask for an application.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!
We are looking for people interested in share our commitment to end poverty through the
provision of services that help eliminate poverty and its causes by promoting self-sufficiency. We
are currently recruiting for: ESL, Computer Literacy Teachers and General Volunteers
